Beautiful 19th Century Doctors' Gold Skull Clocks and Watches


In the 1800s, you might have found one of these skull table watches sitting innocently on your doctor's desk. A bit unnerving, perhaps.


This skull desk watch has a more cheerful smile, but still looks quite menacing. It's plated with 14k gold.

I don't care for the blue forehead button this other silver skull desk watch, but look at the seller's pics to see the intricate, gorgeous inner workings.


Apparently 19th century doctors also liked to carry around skull encrusted pocket watches.
