New Release from The Criterion Collection – Carnival of Souls Blu-Ray

Released just this week, The Criterion Collection’s newest offering is the Carnival of Souls Blu-Ray.

I don’t even attempt to own all of The Criterion Collection’s films, but when I’m adding to my home film library (yes, I’m old and I like to keep physical copies sitting around on bookcases), I definitely reach for the version from The Criterion Collection.

This 1962 B-movie was beautifully filmed. While it doesn’t quite provide MST3k-type fodder, I’m looking forward to having it on offer for relaxing cocktail party background video or to watch on a rainy summer evening.

Of course, you can watch Carnival of Souls for free on YouTube, but I’d rather have the beautiful digitally restored copy to watch on my bigscreen TV, personally.
